hi Florence,
I am new to Fruit Enzyme and find your blog very helpful :)
May i ask two questions: 1. how do u harvest the enzyme when it is ready? do u just pour it thru a sieve? 2. what do u do with the remaining fruits? can it be eaten? put to a blender, or throw away? I feel the fruits absorbs alot of the liquid so it is a waste to throw away, but not sure how to take it out.
Ni nicole, great to know that you are making enzyme.Yes, i harvest through sieve,so the remaining fruits still have juice right, I will use the pouch(that kind your mother use it to boil soup, all the herbal put inside the pouch to prevent messy)Then I will squeeze all the juice out until dry so that not a single drop will waste. As for the fruits, some ppl throw it away, depends what fruits is that. For me if Imake tomato, I will use the fruits as face mask, pear u can put in freezer as ice cream. Is all up to you.If u can take it, u can even eat it :)
Hm... the pouch does sound like a smart way. I was told to use a handkerchief, but it is hard to clean it, so i shall try out your way.
Sorry, some more questions: - do you bring the enzyme along if you are travelling? Was told that once started drinking enzyme, it shall be continuous in order to see results. - is there a concern if i am using the normal sugar e.g. brown rock sugar, or the brown rectangular block sugar, i also use the usual brown suger (the one used for making coffee or tea), but was told that consuming too much sugar may not be good to the liver. So is it true? Have you tried using honey instead? If using honey, how to make sure it cover the top of all the fruits?
HI nicole, I do bring my enzyme when I travel,I just transfer to small bottle & wrap it with bubble pack then chk in.When u reach your place, u have to faster put in the fridge or if the place that you go is in winter then don have to worry :)When I do enzyme ,usualy I use flower honey or organic oligo sugar(I do have some photo on the blog, do chk it out so tat u knw wat kind u can buy)If using honey, just make sure the honey cover the fruits can already. You don have to pour a lot, u can do ur own estimation.I try avoid using sugar coz too much is bad for your health. If u can afford it, using organice oligo sugar is the best choice but I know is too high cost ,that's why I use honey which is cheaper & taste nice.
